Głównym organizatorem jest „Positive Music Promotion” oraz Biuro Promocji Miasta Ostróda.
Historia
W latach 1983-1989 festiwal nosił nazwę Ost-Rock. Powstał jako lokalna eliminacja do Ogólnopolskiego Młodzieżowego Przeglądu Piosenki (OMPP). W roku 1989 odbył się po raz ostatni. W 1995 i 1996 próbowano festiwal reaktywować, ale bez rezultatu (przeprowadzono jedynie dwie edycje). Dopiero w 2001 roku festiwal przeszedł pełną reaktywację i pod nazwą Ost-Rock Reggae Festival istniał do końca 2003 roku. Od 2004 roku zaczął funkcjonować jako „Ostróda Reggae Festiwal”, na którym główny nacisk położono na prezentację muzyki z gatunku reggae. Tym samym „Ost-Rock” jako przegląd zespołów rockowych przestał istnieć. W 2007 roku pojawiła się koncepcja, ażeby powrócić do tradycji przeglądu młodych zespołów prezentujących mocniejszy gatunek rocka i uruchomiono festiwal „OsT RocK Underground FesT”.
